Hash Title: Hallowiener 2018
On Devil’s Night back in October 30th, 1991, the most beautiful soul was born. His red hair, exuberant attitude, and lack of bladder control were all endearing. One look, and you’d fall in love with him instantly.
We are, of course, talking about my wiener.
I named him Rudy. His red hair and ability to lighten up my life reminded me of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. I’d often hold him tight while gently kissing his head. Inevitably, it’d end with my face doused in his love. Mindlessly stroking him as I watched TV soothed both of us. He wasn’t the biggest I’ve ever seen, but not the smallest. He was a perfectly sized bundle of joy.
9 years ago, he was tragically taken away from me a month shy of 16 years old. I’ve felt like half a man since then.
He loved life, so it only seems fitting to honor him with a costume themed hash. I believe there’s something else going on with costumes too. What a happy coincidence. I’m sure he’ll be smiling down from heaven.
Let’s show up at 2pm atHuntz’s Tavern (645 Butler St, Etna, PA 15223). Bring your finest costume, or lacking that, your finest attitudes. Let’s have a few beers for Rudy. Bring ID and hash cash for a contra stop.
