Sunday, March 20th—Celebrating Fred Rogers!
Sunday, March 20th, 3 PM.
Murphy’s Tap Room
1106 S Braddock Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15218
We’re hoping for a beautiful day in the East End, to remember and celebrate Mr. Rogers in his neighborhood, on what would have been his 94th birthday. We love our city, and Fred was definitely something unique to the town. Hopefully, we’ll have nice weather, and we won’t be picking through the wreckage of a nuclear war.
If you want to wear a cardigan on trail, we would appreciate that! If you want to wear shoes with very good tread so we don’t have to have EMT’s airlift you out of a crevice, we applaud that! (Looking at you, Purple.) If you want to wear a feather boa, or a tutu, or a dress of some manner, well, we like you just the way you are!
In light of the massive shitshow of the past few years, Gu and PDS ask that you experiment with something new on trail- actually being nice to each other!
Trail will start at Murphy’s at 3PM, because they don’t open until 3PM. If this is a problem, we suggest that if you don’t have anything nice to say, perhaps you keep it to yourself. Daylight savings time will have ended, so it will be light out for longer. Sleep in an extra hour before coming out on trail. How is this a bad plan?
Re: Short, flat, and shiggy free- nothing is flat in Western Pennsylvania. Short and shiggy free are relative concepts. As far as bringing your dog goes, we love dogs, but they can’t come into Murphy’s, and your Pomeranian might well perish on this pleasant stroll around the neighborhood. Robust, stalwart dogs should be just fine. You’re the one bathing them afterwards, not me.
