Correction to the previously presented Memorial Sunrise Hash. After talking with a bunch of you, this hash has  been changed to the “Memorial Sunset Hash”. It’s become apparent that you don’t want to wake up at 4:30 AM to do trail and drink; and we certainly don’t want to either. So, we’ll be meeting up at Liquher Cookie’s place (1214 Cloverfield Drive, 15227)  at 6:00ish PM , enjoy a prelube along with a delicious meal that only Cookie can concoct, then on out to celebrate the lives that are no longer with us. Afterwards we’ll resume back at Cookie’s place for a more celebrations and libations.  There will be music, beer, dance if you want to, and the comradery that we all know and love with being hashers.

I know, it’s been said, “trail will be short, flat and dry” only to find out that the hares lied… but really, this one WILL BE short, some fun, easy shiggy, a very easy hill or two and I hope the hash gods smile upon us and give us a rain free, dry trail (something that we can’t control). This trail is all about celebrating those that have passed. Cookie and I have got a trail saved for the fall that will be worthy of your fears. This is not that trail.  With that said, I hope that those that would like to memorialize your fallen hasher’s but feel hesitant because you may not feel like you’re the hasher that you once was will feel equally welcome to participate in this celebration. Please pass this message on to anyone that you know that fits into that category. And for those that want a little more trail, there will be a slightly more challenging eagle trail for you as well.

I really hope to see all of you there. It will be a hash that you’ll feel good about and that you’ll remember.
