Fool Moon Hash: Come one, come all to a STFU Hash organized event!

My first hash sucked more balls than all the straws in Chun Shui Tang Teahouse in Taichung, Taiwan since 1988. The second time around was More Better™. Even nature capitulated to my desires and provided good weather. This can mean only one thing: this will either be awesome or a truly shitty trail; or, somewhere in between.

Arrive early for special craft drafts at the Korner Pub! KP will have a Terrapin event waiting for us at 6:00 pm. Per the fine ownership of Korner pub: there will be a “Mini tap-takeover type of thing. Couple IPAs, a session, and a PB/chocolate Porter.”

We all know what the most dangerous areas of Pittsburgh look like. To keep the theme going, it’s time to see other downtrodden areas just outside the city.

I don’t know about you people. but when I think of how unfair life can be, I think of only one thing: Mt Lebanon! Rumors abound of families who are so poor, they can’t even afford to give their son a free car until his 20th birthday. Think that’s bad? There are also those who are even more poor and were forced to work and to buy their own cars! To imagine that the per capita income can be as low as $50k a year, it’s no wonder.

What can we do to help? We can hash through and bring awareness. Remind them that Mark Cuban, who came from their land, was able to rise above the mediocrity of the upper middle class. Maybe they can too.

So grab your hashing gear, and head on-on down-down to explore the slums of my youth in the Gallivanting Slum Crawl of Mud Lebanon!

• Be sure to check out the map to know where are the best places to park.
• The endpoint is on a hill overlooking a convenient T-stop to take you back to your cars.
• The trail is pretty dog friendly, but the T is not. The trail ends about 2 miles from the start point. If you’d like help arranging how to bring your puppy, please contact me, STFU.
