DC Powder Hounds is holding their 2nd ANAL SKASH weekend at Seven Springs this year.. so obviouslyyy we need to be there to claim our home mountain!
Dust off your neon onesie and rear entry boots and strap some goddamn 2x4s to your feet for all I care. The only requisite ski experience is that you know your way around a shotski!!
Seven Springs is only an hour east of the city, so carpool or rope tow behind a jeep your way over Friday night or Saturday morning for a weekend of skiing, drinking, canoodling, snowboarding, yeti hunting, arctic hashing both on the slopes and in the woods, boozy snow tubing.. orrr you can just snap your femur and apres all day.
Friday January 23rd: Pre-Lube – TBD
Saturday, January 24th
Skash Trail: TBD start time, meet at the Outdoor Patio/Deck of the Foggy Goggle. What’s a “Skash trail” you ask? Simply put, we lay trail, on the slopes, for skiers and boarders. It’s awesome!
R**ning Tail: TBD start in the evening with a planned on-after. Sponsored by Hangover Hash House Harriers.
For Non-Skiers: Senior Executive Snow Bunny, Camo Sutra, will be organizing boozy snow-tubing on Saturday. Details TBD. Bring a flask or thermos!
Sunday, January 25th: Hungover skiing and on-out!
Housing:
DC Powder Hounds reserved a room block at the pet-friendly slopeside hotel at a discounted rate of $215/night! Rooms are 2-queen beds per room, so cozy up with a roomie or 20. Group name is “Hash House Harriers”, contact the reservation office at 866-437-1300 OR let me know you’re going and I’ll figure it out.
The block of rooms expires on JANUARY 7.. I’d like to get an idea of who’s all cumming by then so we can know what to book! We could also rent a condo or townhouse.. more space and cheaper.. if enough of yinz can commit!
Cost: $5/trail, Lift or snow tubing tickets can be purchased on-site or at the mountain AND we could get a group discount rate on lift tickets if we have a group of at least 20 people
If you need to rent skis or snowboards.. it’s cheapest to do so before you get to the mountain. I believe Thrifty Ski Rental’s as cheap as it gets.. $17/day for skis, $20/day for boards.
Moral of the story: the more people who cum, the cheaper it’ll be for everyone!!
