I’m told trail is dog-friendly, but start bar is not.
We’re starting at Nico’s where you can get a beer and a shot.
Since it’s in Bloomfield, I guess trail shoes ain’t right,
but maybe wear layers because it’s an early April night.
Bring your five bucks, so you can drink beer and do trail,
and when you see the number of hares, you can exclaim, “WHAT THE HELL?”

The hares have been waiting six years for a Pittsburgh microbrewery to open in South Side. Now that one is open 3 blocks from our house we want to support them by having the hash buy a lot of beer in a 30-45 minutes span. (But please drink responsibly and don’t drive/ride home drunk)
Trail Shoes/Bug Spray: No trail shoes needed for this trail. And I don’t anticipate any Fuck Me South Side Slopes hill climbs.
Dogs: Trail will be dog friendly. But not sure if the brewery is. They don’t open again until Wednesday so check back Wednesday evening to see if dogs are allowed inside or if they have to wait outside.
Parking: Don’t park in Ascend’s parking lot and be mindful of zone restrictions . There is plenty of free parking on Josephine (a couple blocks south). Parking is also free in metered areas after 6PM on Jane and Mary between 20th and 21st. I will post again day of the hash to remind everyone about parking.

Join Deadwood, 7 minutes in Heaving, and El Cock for a merry jaunt through scenic Oakland. Deadwood has lived there for a decade and is sick of it but you will get to see every place he has lived on trail. Come on out to Bootleggers which was where Deadwood lost his hash virginity for a weekend prelube. Trail will be doggo friendly and leave those trail shoes at home. Trees are dirty and we will avoid them at all costs. Also we should all probably just walk this one, Deadwood isn’t too speedy in his old age. Of course Heavin and El Cock will be uncatchable.

Just Marisa Takes the Plunge
Get ready for a night we’ll try to make you forget as we head over to Hop’s Place on the North Side in anticipation of a flat*, all-pavement*, poison-ivy-free*, and tick-free* utopian* romp arahnd northtahn. Just Marisa has never hared a trail before, so naturally we put her in charge. As fortune would have it, she’s just as much of a masochist as we are (in case you expected a kinder, gentler Jinkies-MyHogNMe trail). And also like us, what this trail lacks in length it makes up for in charm. And remember, mismanagement is in the awkward transition phase, so we’ll probably do whatever we want.
*bullshit. You may want trail shoes, dick spray, shiggy socks, a light, a plastic bubble, a first aid kit, and a will. Hell, you should probably stay home.
