On this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I have a dream that one day this kennel will rise up and hare a trail on every full moon, that every set of city steps will be traversed, that heights will be scaled, and that view checks will be available to all. I have a dream that hares will not be judged by the color of the flour they choose to lay but by the quality of beer they provide on trail. And when this happens, we will raise our voices in glorious, victorious song and cry, “Drink it down, down, down!” Yes, I have a dream.
Frosting-covered birthday details cumming soon!
It’s Election Day on Nov. 8, so vote early and often to get those ugly dogs out of office, but elect to run the Full Beaver Moon hash that night.
30 years ago on Nov. 10, 1992 I laid my first solo trail on my 38th birthday (“The 38 Special Shoot the Moon Hash”). The trail went well until the beer stop, where my friend who’d opened his backyard for us mentioned that the starting bar was a mere 6 blocks away and everyone blew off the second half of the trail. Come out this time to see if I’ve learned anything from that cock-up in the last three decades.
Trail is A-A and extremely dog friendly except for the bar (Koko had a blast scouting with me).
Special shortcut hints for any lazy Scorpio with proof of astrological sign.
There is plenty of parking behind his house on St Joseph St.
Bring money, ID, a headlamp, and a sense of adventure. Meet up at 6:30. On-out at 7:00!
Join Iron City on yet another boozy Friday night trail.
Bring a headlamp, maybe some monies for contra’s, and a good appetite for beer.
Expect to be disappointed.
Cum as you are. We promise nothing, and bring even less to the table.
Bring Virgins.
We never charge hash cash.
Attendance is mandatory.
