Beer Mile @ Schenley Oval
Oct 22 @ 8:30 pm – 9:00 pm

How have you not heard of the phenomenom of beer mile? If your head has been in the sand or the bottom of a bottle check this out! Chug a beer, run a lap, 4 times. Don’t puke. This is r*c*st event, there will be a timer, there will be w*nn*rs. If you’re still confused watch this video:

Being a r*c*st event there are rules. If you puke you have to run a penalty lap. Or you should just consider quitting because you can’t hold your booze. Your beer has to be 12oz and at least 5% abv. Consult http://www.beermile.com for more information. Go to www.beeradvocate.com to check if your beer is at least 5% abv. Yuengling, High Life, and PBR are not.

PITTH3 will kindly be donating the cheapest yellow piss that qualifies to the competitors. Probably Coors Extra Gold http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/306/1466/. BYOB if your palette is more refined.

If anyone is aware of some event going on at the oval that night that would preclude us from doing this please let me know so I can find an alternate venue. A quick google search turned up nothing.

Beer Stops for the Half and Full Marath*ns @ Half Marathon
May 1 @ 7:00 am – 2:00 pm

The PITT and Pgh-H3 kennels once again will be cheering on participants and hosting beer stops for runners in the Pittsburgh Half and Full Marath*ns on Sunday, May 1.

The Half Marath*n Beer Stop will see action first. Meet up at the intersection of Forbes Ave & Seneca St in Uptown between 7:00 and 8:00 AM to get in on the fun! Offer the runners encouragement and libations as they push through the final few miles of the course.

Trail will be laid between the Half Marath*n stop and the Full beer stop, which is located on  Liberty Ave. across from Church Brew Works (3525 Liberty Ave, 15201). Anticipated arrival time for the pack is 11:00 AM. Alternatively, feel free to make your stand at the Full stop and show up earlier; it’s always interesting to see who will be the fastest runner that decides to stop for a beer.

Costumes and signs are encouraged! It’s also a good idea to bring water, hat/sunscreen, a mug, snacks, and your own stash of beverages.

Marathon Beer Stop @ Outside Church Brew Works
May 7 @ 9:00 am
Cum and enjoy cheering on all the r*nners at our marathon beer stop! Some of our own will be out there sweating and working way harder than they should, so let’s show them love by bringing them beer!
Be there at 9:00am. If you’re setting up or are planning to drive your car, you will have to get there before they close the roads (which is pretty damn early). We’ll need volunteers who can bring the following stuff:
–2 tables to set out all the beer
–2 canopies, so we’re shaded
–small cups to hand out
–tarp and rope to make a makeshift pee place
–signs
–beer
–trash bags
–your own camp chair
You can park on the street next to Church Brew Works. But you must get there very early if you are driving! Don’t forget!
Trying to drive will be tough. Here is a story that details road closures. The article has a link for a map of all the closures: https://www.thepittsburghmarathon.com/pages/getting-around-town
